Wow what a day at Harleston Magpies! We were one of a elite group of clubs with both our U10 Boys and Girls qualifying to the Regional finals at Harleston Magpies. The Region consists of Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.
U10 Boys celebrating their success:
The boys were only defeated once in their pool matches by Ipswich. We lost out 1-2 to Hertford in their semis. Lukas scored a goal going past three players, which had Nigel laughing. Nigel was reminiscing about his glory days. The boys went on to win their runners up final by beating Ipswich 2-0.
U10 Girls jumping for joy:
The girls missed out on the semi because we failed to knock in a few goals and gave away a silly goal in our first match. We felt we could have beaten any team there and could have easily won it! Next year we will go one better.
All in all a great day for the players, parents and the club!
